ACCOUNT MANAGER

Summary:

The Sports Circus airs on select CBS Sports, CNBC, NBC News, Westwood One News, and a host of independent radio stations in several US markets. Also, the show airs on Hotel Television and is carried in 650,000 rooms in 3, 4, and 5-star hotels and resorts in 100 markets, gaining 4,800,000 impressions per hour.

We are seeking a commission-based Account Manager with 4 to 6 years Ad Sales experience in a media, publishing, and broadcasting organization. The successful candidate will develop new business as advertising sales at the client and agency levels for our nationally-syndicated, prime time sports talk radio show.

You will be responsible for the full sales cycle of advertising sales, and maximizing revenue opportunities. Also, you must develop strong business relationships and deliver results while maintaining top-level customer service to all clients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Generate leads, targets prospective clients and obtains meetings to make pitches and presentations
Respond to and follows-up on sales inquiries in a timely and attentive manner
Works with prospects to determine advertising needs and creates proposals that actively address client needs
Consistently closes deals and meet or exceed sales revenue targets
Identify the most appropriate advertising formats for clients and makes recommendations for appropriate local, regional, or national markets
Negotiate and sell advertising time to national advertisers and ad agencies, using corporate pricing parameters and company-provided media kit
Communicate advertising and contract arrangements to the client

Requirements:

Demonstrated success with conceptual and consultative selling
Demonstrated success in meeting annual budget and revenue goals
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Well-developed persuasion and influence skills; persistent and disciplined with client follow up
Strong customer service skills; ability to build productive and trusting relationships with clients
Detail oriented
Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced work environment
Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to take on responsibility
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, where necessary
Must have legal right to work in the U.S

Compensation:

THE SPORTS CIRCUS has one of the most aggressive commission-based compensation plans in the business. Believe it! We pay high commissions and NO DRAWS or SALARIES. Our philosophy is: You eat what you kill and eat very well! You can make well over $250,000 (plus bonus override from the sales team you may build) in this position. No other known radio show pays the level of commissions!
